Zavira Jewelry: Wedding rings and sacred works of art – ANTARA News Yogyakarta
Yogyakarta (ANTARA) – Marriage is a sacred moment for two people who meet at the altar. One of the eternal symbols of marriage is manifested in the form of a wedding ring. A wedding ring that is wrapped around the couple’s ring finger is a bond and a reminder to sail the household together.
For Zavira Jewelry owner Bimo Hery Prabowo, wedding rings are not just sacred. Wedding rings are works of art that depict the life of each couple. “For me a wedding ring is a sacred work of art,” said Bimo.
Bimo founded Zavira Jewelry which focuses on making handmade wedding rings or handmade by jewelry craftsmen. Zavira Jewelry was founded in 2016 and moved several times until it is now located on Jalan Monumen Perjuangan, Wirokerten, Banguntapan, Bantul.
For Bimo, ring products at Zavira Jewelry prioritize quality. Because it is made manually by craftsmen, the results are different from machine-made products. “We make wedding rings ordered by customers in detail. Handmade ones are tougher, not hollow like those made using machines,” he said.
Zavira Jewelry really pays attention to this detail, so they prefer to collaborate with traditional craftsmen as partners rather than using printing machines to make wedding ring products. This jewelry crafter has been a Bimo partner since 2016.
“On average, our craftsmen have decades of experience in Jakarta, then they return home to Yogyakarta and partner with us,” said Bimo. Because they are experienced, these craftsmen have advantages in detailed work. Currently Zavira is partnering with 20 jewelry craftsmen.
With a large number of experienced and experienced jewelry craftsmen, they can make a pair of wedding rings in three to seven days. The processing time for the jewelry depends on the level of complexity ordered by the customer.
Bimo said he once worked on a women’s ring with lots of stones. Craftsmen must be extra patient but still try to meet work deadlines so that the details of the stone installation remain neat so that they don’t come off easily.
According to him, this detail allows craftsmen to be creative in making motifs, writing and all the characteristics that consumers want. Therefore, each couple’s wedding ring order is not the same.
Wedding rings made by Zavira Jewelry use gold, palladium, platinum and silver as raw materials. Consumers usually order a pair of wedding rings in different metals. Gold is recommended for women. As for the type of palladium for men.
While running the jewelry business, Bimo had many ups and downs. There is a feeling of pride when you know that your product has been ordered several times by famous people. Another story is that Bimo once replaced a ring belonging to a customer from Makassar because of a miscommunication, which caused the work to be late.
“Because we feel we have made a mistake, we are giving it away for free. Even though the material is gold, this is a form of our apology,” he said.
Bimo also had a memorable experience when a customer from Palu, Central Sulawesi, asked for a new ring to be made from his partner’s ring. The woman’s ring was lost after the Palu earthquake several years ago.
“The customer asked for a new ring to be made from his partner’s ring. So this man’s ring was cut in part, melted down to make a new metal alloy for his woman’s ring. So that it remains a pair, it has a sacred feel to it,” said Bimo.
As a form of service to customers, Zavira Jewelry provides a lifetime guarantee for rings made of gold, palladium and platinum. The silver rings have a one year guarantee.
Prices start from IDR 300 thousand for a single silver ring, up to around IDR 8 million to IDR 10 million depending on the type of metal. “Pladium is more expensive than gold, per gram it can reach IDR 1.5 million,” said Bimo, who diligently promotes it via social media.
Customers can see the catalog on social media and the official Zavira Jewelry website. Transactions and orders are made via WhatsApp messages, customers just have to choose the ring model, finger size and other special characteristics. After that, the work will be carried out within 3-7 days.
Zavira Jewelry also has offline outlets in Gresik, East Java, and Banjarnegara, Central Java. Many of its customers come from East Java, West Java and Jakarta. Apart from wedding rings, customers also often order gifts for relatives, colleagues and family.
Until now, Zavira Jewelry has relied on JNE expedition services, as the main choice for sending packages to customers. According to Bimo, JNE has a trusted and safe service so it can be relied on to send rings and jewelry. Apart from that, JNE also provides insurance protection for high-value shipments.
