Kirida Bhaopichitr, Vice Minister for Commerce, officiating the event. The exhibition, coordinated by the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) alongside the Gem and Jewelry Institute of Thailand (GIT), benefits from collaboration between government bodies and private-sector partners.

Gathering over 1,300 exhibitors from both Thailand and international locations, the event fills around 2,800 booths across the G and LG levels. Anticipated attendance exceeds 45,000 visitors, with projected trade revenue surpassing USD 160 million, equivalent to over THB 5 billion.

Ms. Kirida said, “Thailand is now recognized as one of the world’s leading gems and jewelry trading hubs. The country ranks first globally in exports of cut and polished colored gemstones and second in silver jewelry exports.”

The Ministry of Commerce aims to enhance Thailand’s position as a global trading hub by supporting openness, trust, and international connectivity. They leverage the Bangkok Gems and Jewelry Fair as a key platform, uniting manufacturers, traders, designers, buyers, and partners from Thailand and worldwide.

A new Designer Zone debuts this year, highlighting creativity and linking up-and-coming designers with global manufacturers and buyers. The Fair also presents special features and events, such as The Craft of Brilliance and The One To Watch.

The 74th Bangkok Gems and Jewelry Fair takes place from 8–12 September 2026 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC), G and LG floors, Halls 1–8 and Plenary Halls. For more information, visit www.bkkgems.com or facebook.com/Bangkokgemsofficial.

It is expected that the fair will have a significant impact on the trade, with the Department of International Trade Promotion and the Gem and Jewelry Institute of Thailand working together to make it a success. The fair’s organizers are committed to providing a platform for businesses to connect and grow, and they have put in place a range of measures to support this goal.

The fair’s success is also due to the support of government and private-sector agencies, which have worked together to make it happen. The Ministry of Commerce has played a key role in this effort, and they are committed to continuing to support the development of Thailand’s gems and jewelry industry.
