The Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair will return in September 2026 for its 74th edition, positioning itself as Asia’s foremost gathering for the global jewelry trade. Running from September 8 to 12 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, the event will now occupy Halls 1–8 and Plenary Halls 1–4, including the newly introduced Plenary Hall 3. This expansion strengthens its position as a catalyst for industry development.

Organizers highlight the momentum from the 73rd edition, which achieved THB 4.75 billion in trade volume and hosted over 40,000 participants from 118 nations. That edition solidified Bangkok’s status as a critical hub for gemstones, finished jewelry, and manufacturing services. Even the current global economic crisis and rising fuel prices is not deterring the optimism of the coming fair with almost 95 percent of booths already booked and paid for.

The fair functions as a full sourcing network, linking buyers with suppliers of loose gemstones, finished jewelry collections, and OEM/ODM partners specializing in custom designs. Thailand’s long-standing expertise in gem cutting and jewelry production enhances supply chain efficiency, allowing businesses to balance quality with cost-effectiveness. The international scope of the event ensures exposure to emerging trends, collaborative opportunities, and evolving market intelligence.

Retailers and manufacturers benefit from direct access to a broad product range, spanning high-value gemstones to modern designs. This variety supports inventory management, supplier identification, and brand growth. The event’s global participation, spanning multiple continents, supports networking and insights into changing consumer preferences.

Despite challenges like rising fuel costs and economic instability, organizers report undiminished interest. The 2026 edition will focus on improving venue access and simplifying navigation across product categories. Given Thailand’s strategic role in the global jewelry trade, the fair is expected to shape market trends in the months ahead.

Attendees from the 73rd edition highlighted the fair’s role in facilitating long-term business relationships, with many reporting that deals initiated at the event led to multi-year collaborations.

While competition from online platforms continues to grow, the fair’s physical presence remains critical for hands-on assessments of gem quality and craftsmanship. The 2026 edition will emphasize this strength through dedicated gem-testing zones and live demonstrations of cutting-edge jewelry techniques.
